He made a key two-point conversion last week against the Bills, showcasing how vital he is to our success. Overall, I’m incredibly proud of how our group came together and flourished,” he stated.

“I realized early on how crucial L.J.’s presence was,” Spagnuolo shared. “We had some ups and downs initially, but then Jaylen settled into the role, although he faced his share of injuries. While the statistics for the secondary may not mirror those of the previous year, we certainly executed well enough to secure victories, which is a source of pride for me. It’s always rewarding to see how players adapt as the season progresses.”

Spagnuolo mentioned one game that particularly stood out for him. “Looking back, we’d love a do-over for that first game against Buffalo. The last encounter with Denver wasn’t great either, giving up 38 points felt frustrating. However, apart from those instances, I thought our guys executed the game plan effectively on game days.”

Dave Toub on Special Teams ⭐

Special teams coordinator Dave Toub emphasized the resilience of his unit after facing injuries to key players. His pride stemmed from how seamlessly others stepped in to fill those gaps.

“We dealt with some significant injuries this season,” Toub explained. “Jack Cochrane’s absence was a tough hit for us. He was one of our captains, a leader on special teams. Even though he couldn't play, he remained committed to supporting the team in every way possible. But seeing other players rise and perform at high levels was something I cherished.”

He provided further insight into how the kicker situation was managed well, “We faced some challenges in our kicking game, yet other players were able to step up and still deliver in clutch moments. Additionally, the big plays we executed, whether it was a long punt return or key kickoff plays, showcased the effort and talent present across our special teams unit.”
